Studies on medieval and early modern women, 4
Christine Meek & Catherine Lawless editors
This book is reflects the vitality of the ongoing debate in Irish universities on gender roles, where masculine and feminine are no longer seen as binary opposites. The essays are both by established and younger scholars, but they have in common an interest in the roles women played and were able to play, how they saw themselves and how they were seen by others.
Christine Meek is associate professor in the department of modern history, Trinity College Dublin. Catherine Lawless is a lecturer at University of Limerick.
